"Since an early age I have been attracted to shapes, textures, light and colour and the way they work together. I am fascinated by the way natural objects appear both on their own, and when juxtaposed with artificial elements. My work is a fusion of photographic images and objects, both natural and artificial, that would not necessarily be found together, but combine in harmony to create an image evoking a mood or an emotion".

cmchevalier was born in Paris, France. Her father, Jean Chevalier, was a famous fashion photographer and has been a major influence in cmchevalier's life and work.

After studying art and theatre at the University of Massachusetts, she came to England in 1983 and has been working as a model and actor.

cmchevalier works from her studio at home in London and is married with two children
